Commentary:
Hundreds of questions posed by anxious parents are rationally answered here by nutritionist Sue Gilbert. Topics range from infant feeding problems to finicky eaters to nutrition guidance for young athletes. The scope of nutrition information available is unusually broad for a parents page. In addition to fielding queries on nourishing the little ones, Gilbert also deals with the eating habits of teens; discusses food allergies; provides tips for pregnant, postpartum, and nursing moms; and covers issues relative to general adult nutrition. The thorough answers provide solid, practical information that is backed up with research data and referrals to the American Dietetic Association when needed.

The main page of Parentsplace.com is updated daily, but it is unclear how often new postings are added to the "Ask the Nutritionist" page. Although we'd like to see dates on the Q & A's, this is a great resource for parents with children of any age. "Ask the Nutritionist" dispenses better advice than parents are likely to get from their friends or next door neighbor.
