| Commentary: This site, which posts the latest information on food science and technology, is designed for scientists, health professionals, journalists, and consumers alike. The information is complete, up-to-date, and accurate -- and it has all been reviewed by an independent committee of scientists and professionals. "Hot Topics" covers issues of interest like genetic modification in food, salt, trans fatty acids, and food allergies. Entries are well-written and don't gloss over important scientific or technical information. The FAQ section is very well-organized, with questions listed at the top so that users don't have to scroll endlessly to find Qs on their areas of interest. The site could use less prose, more outlines, and some graphics to improve user experience. One important thing to keep in mind: the site is based in the U.K., so not all information (laws and dietary guidelines, for example) will be relevant to American readers, although important developments in the U.S. are covered. < Back to the previous page | ||||||||
